Focus groups with stakeholders and practitioners

We have now completed six focus groups with stakeholders and practitioners with an interest in healthcare worker migration. We also conducted some individual interviews with interested participants who were unable to attend the focus groups.

Focus group participants included settlement service providers, workforce experts (including lawyers, recruitment specialists, employers and unions), migration research and policy experts, policymakers at various levels of government, and experts in wellbeing approaches.

By reviewing existing settlement initiatives, analysing key barriers and enablers for comprehensive solutions, and studying well-being approaches outside the migration system, this stage of the project seeks to identify ways in which migrant and mobile healthcare workers can be supported at the policy level.,
